SIC Insurance Plc, Ghana’s largest general insurer, sponsored the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s 70th birthday Golf tournament at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi.
The age-related categories event which saw a number of high-profile golfers from across the country was held to celebrate the seventieth birthday of the Asantehene.
His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II alongside Sir Sam Jonah, Nana Bi Kusi Appiah, Manso Nkwantahene, and other dignitaries teed off in the early hours of the morning to get the tournament started.
Mr. Stephen Oduro, the Managing Director of SIC Insurance Plc, congratulated the Asantehene and Asanteman on his special milestone and thanked the Otumfuo for the opportunity to be associated. He added that Otumfuo’s exemplary leadership is a great legacy for Asanteman and the Country as a whole. He said the King’s development focus especially on education is worth emulating by all.
