SIC Insurance this year supported the second edition of the Head of State Invitational Golf tournament organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ghana Golf Association and Northwestern Consult at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi on June 16, 2018.
SIC Insurance this year supported the second edition of the Head of State Invitational Golf tournament organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ghana Golf Association and Northwestern Consult at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi.
The highly patronized event saw very high profile dignitaries namely the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin II, the Chairman of the Council of State, Nana Otuo Siriboe II, Sam Jonah – KBE, several Ministers of State and CEOs of Corporate Ghana all in attendance.
Speaking to the media, on the sidelines during the Tournament in Kumasi Mr. Stephen Oduro, the Managing Director said SIC Insurance agreed to partner the organizers due to the unique opportunity the event provided. He said, golf as a discipline resonates the company’s core values of professionalism, respect, sense of urgency, trust and relationship.
He added that the company shares in the vision of the theme for the tournament - “Transforming the Nation through Golf” because the sport brings together various business executives and players and creates the necessary common platform to generate as well as nurture business ideas with innovative thinking in a very serene environment for building strong networking.
The tournament saw Mr. Sammy Hage and Ms. Mary Prempeh both at the Kumasi Royal Golf Club winning the men’s and women’s events respectively.
A dinner to climax the occasion was graced by the Head of State, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo- Addo, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Okyenhene Amoatia Ofori Panin II as well as some traditional rulers, Ministers of State, Members of Parliament and several CEOs of Corporate Ghana.
